old physical media

I'm wondering what the consensus is regarding holding on to old physical media with copies of Logos software as well as resources.
I just got a DVD from tech support because I was having trouble using the downloader, so I thought I would just keep that and throw all my older stuff away.
For example...
an installation disk with Windows 4.0 SR-5 and Mac 4.0 (Pre-Release Alpha 8)
an installation disk with Mac Libronix 1.2
Libronix 1.2.2 Media Only Discs 1 and 2

I would also throw them all away and back up all your resources onto one drive or DVD.

Quick Installation Wiki includes Time Machine => http://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_Multiple_Macs#Time_Machine_Duplication with option: since Logos indexes can be rebuilt, they can be excluded from Time Machine hourly backup
The initial Time Machine backup of everything can take hours (similar to initial Logos downloading and indexing); then Time Machine does incremental hourly backups (does need external drive connected and powered on).
Restoring files from Time Machine is easy - once have found file, drag and drop to desired location. Time Machine restore interface has slider for for time travel; also can search for stuff.

I'm going to use them as Christmas tree ornaments some year.
