A few things I have noticed

1. Any progress with improving notes? I have a lot of notes per chapter and it is getting tedious having to scroll down to the last note everytime I want to add one. Ideally there would be a box at the top of the notes and this would be filed automatically after entry. This applies to clippings also.
2. Still got the issue whereby (on Windows) you can click on the ESV or any bible icon from the homepage and it will load the bible. On mac you cannot do this and it appears that you have to go to the library to load the bible.
3. Layouts - take a while to load but the main problem is that once they have loaded they take even longer to become usable. The cpu goes nuts. Sometimes takes a good couple of minutes to be workable
4. Please, Please add categories to the File menu. I know I can type in "passage" or "reading plan" but this is a pain and categories would be SO much easier.
5. I have added this to uservoice but just to mention again that it would be worth having some sort of marker when you have added a verse to a clipping. Sometimes I read a chapter and think, did I add that verse or not?
Thanks
Dan

This will be fixed in a future release.

This will work in the next beta.

This may depend on what panels are loading and how many of them are part of a particular layout. If you create a layout with one resource panel, does the same thing occur?

Development is looking at different organizational methods for the File menu.

Uservoice is the best place for a suggestion like this. We've implemented a few Uservoice suggestions already.
Thank you,

I, for one, am no longer satisfied with the "later release" fix for the notes. This "later release" idea has gone on for many later releases and has extended into many months. I am well past the point of being disappointed about the notes situation.

Understand "later release" frustration - please describe repeatable Notes usage frustrations - helps Logos development with repeatable examples that can be used to internally test improvement before public "later release" - do know Logos development team working on improvements - from Alpha and Beta pre-releases, followed by initial stable and more Beta release, have experienced many repeatable issues being resolved in "later releases" (sometimes took awhile).
Personally Thankful for first Logos version with Notes on Mac and amazed at Note functionality improvements since initial public buggy availability on Jul 13, 2010 (bit over 6 months ago).
Looking forward to Logos 4.2a substantial feature parity with PC, including warts and all (PC version has some Notes issues, too). Hopefully, Handouts becomes only feature disparity between Mac and PC.
Dreaming of Logos 4 missing feature implementations and revamped Handouts - perhaps in "later release" Beta cycle(s).
Keep Smiling [:)]

In windows when you add a note you do not have to scroll down to the location but in Mac you must. While it is nice to finally have notes it is aggravating to have to constantly scroll down to the point to add your note. If you are working primarily in the New Testament as I do then you are doing lot of scrolling. Maybe I need to do more work in Genesis? This has actually been mentioned in the past and I hesitate to open an old wound but each beta I look at the release notes to see if this has been addressed only to find out it has slid to another release.

This worked the same way in an earlier version of Windows, too, and was eventually fixed. The Mac developers were initially concentrating on getting all the features available in the Windows version implemented, currently focusing on Print/Export for all the functions. They have also been working on optimization, and will continue to do so, as well as improving features, such as Notes.
I know it's hard to see progress when the issues you are most interested in seeing fixed have not been fully addressed yet, but be assured that we are concerned about all of these issues as well and you will continue to see more improvements with each release.
