Thanks to Rosie Perera and Dave Hooten
I had a curiously sinking feeling when I saw the thread title (but it wasn't because you misspelt my name[:(]) -> had I really generated 7000 posts? Yes, I have[:|]. Well I'm still feeling fit and will continue to 8000.
Thank you for the recognition.

Congrats! How you can do it when it's summer down there I don't know, but keep that bike in the breeze!

I had a ride on what was forecast to be a very hot day 2 years ago but went early and only copped the 41 degC heat on the way home at 11am. I dreaded stopping at traffic lights because I felt like I was being cooked! The floods in Queensland were overshadowed by the raging fire that erupted in that forest area a few hours after I got home. This summer has been more temperate (in Melbourne, Victoria) whilst the floods have been simply disastrous in Queensland, and threatening in northern Victoria.

Congratulations, Dave! You have contributed so much to these Forums; and I remember fondly all of the many fantastic posts you shared with the Old Logos Newsgroups also. Again, Thank you, and God Bless you! You are much appreciated! *smile* And respected by the Powers That Be at Logos!!!
Am so very sorry for so much misfortune to have hit you good folks in what we call the "down under." Have prayed a number of times for the individuals affected in so many ways in your country. And will again.
It is January with snow in Ontario, Canada right now -- yesterday the windchill here was -30 Fahrenheit -- ; and my Suzuki Burgman 400 cc Maxi-Scooter is waiting for me in my garage with a "trickle-charger" attached to keep the battery fresh until I can ride again. <written very wistfully!>
Enjoy your rides! Be careful! And! Praise the Lord as you are zooming along with the wind in your face!
Peace and Joy in the Lord! *smile*

Dave my prayers are lifted up for all of you, especially those suffering with the flooding. Still I pray for you great rides when you can (it's a lot more fun than posting on the computer!). My bike is up on a jack complete with trickle charger. God be with you, rain or shine.

However, I am ahead of Fred! I could have edited my original post, but that would not up my count, so I reply to myself.

Many thanks to you both!
People affected by the floods in Australia are on my (most days) prayer list.
