I might be being a little slow here, but I can't get the F7 shortcut to work. I've tried all manner of combinations but I just can't find it. Any ideas or tips?

Other than saying "push F7"...I don't know what could be wrong.

It may have to do with how you have your function keys configured. In System Preferences, under keyboard there's a setting that looks like this:
If it is unchecked, then F7 will activate a special function indicated by the key (on my keyboard, it skips back a track in iTunes), while pressing fn+F7 will send the "F7" keypress.
If it is checked, then these functions will be swapped.
On some Mac keyboards, you might have to press Fn+F7 to get it to work.
Got it! I had tried that but for some reason it hadn't worked (maybe a crumb under the Fn key!?)
