How do I save a layout? (an easy question)

I know this is probably a very simple question, but how do I save my layout?  The toolbar doesn't have a layout window on the Mac version.

Click on Layouts in the Menu bar. In the right column click on the little pencil under the Now layout at the top (or whichever older one you want to save). Rename it. Hit enter.

Later, if you change something in the layout and want to update it, you use the left column instead. Find the layout with the right name. Right click and choose Update.
