No Logos Window after installation

After installing (and during the process of installation) I never see the Logos window nor am I able to activate in somewhere - it seems the program is frozen/crashed.

I go through the signing up - installation - updating - indexing process (each time) and at the very end the program doesn't launch - the top right blue icon disappears and only the Logos 4 Menu items are available. Even closing and reopening the program or restarting the computer are useless. I reinstalled Logos after deleting the old files (both the program itself with CleanmyMac in the Applications folder and the material itself in Library/Application Support/Logos 4 including the plist files as directed in wiki-logos (though I never had the Logos4Installer.plist on my computer). I also followed your article on "Copy Logos 4 Resources to Mac OSX" but never made it past the 3rd step since I couldn't open any window - not even the preference pane. In another trial I downloaded and the engine from the internet rather than using the product CDs , but no difference... So now I have 3 unsuccessful attempts of installing the software and waiting for the indexing to complete on two different computers - same problem

Please advise what to do,

Could you possibly have L4 assigned to a specific space in System Preferences? I have learned that L4 will not automatically switch to the correct space when it becomes the active application.

In the above screenshot, I have L4 assigned to Space 2. If I am operating in another space and switch to L4, I will have the situation you describe. I must manually select Space 2 for the L4 Window to appear.

Wonder about restarting Mac, then launching Logos 4 Mac ?

If window does not appear on screen, wonder if Window menu has an entry:

If window minimized to dock, clicking Logos Bible Software 4 should cause window to appear.

Logs show current stable Logos 4 Mac version: 4.0b SR-4, version 4.10.4.9457 - can call Logos Customer Support 1-800-875-6467 (Open Mon thru Fri from 6 am to 5 pm Pacific)

I first thought that the dock had swallowed the window. But no window is active and I can't manually open a new window.

For grins, launched Logos 4 Mac, then closed Logos Bible Software 4 window - verified in window menu - learned could use Go menu to open new window:

Wonder if Go Home helpful ? (or Go Library or Go Search)

Wonder about restarting Mac - launching Logos 4 Mac - quickly press and hold command key - wait for sign in dialog box - release command key - check "Use blank layout", followed by clicking "Sign-in".

Looked at logs again - appears XML file incomplete for Home Page Preferences - wondering if can open Logos 4 Mac to Blank Page ?

Would you mind zipping up and posting this file?

After you post it so we can take a look at why it might be corrupt, you can rename it or move it to your desktop. Then see if you can get Logos 4 to start up.
