Logos didn't take a snapshot of my layout this morning, so when I opened the program later, none of my books were open to where I left off. Is there something I have to do to make sure the layout opens where I left off?
Thanks!
It's supposed to do it automatically. The only times it doesn't save for me is when it crashes (saving the snapshot must be part of a graceful shutdown).
Perhaps try a reboot of your computer?

No - it should be automatic. The time of the latest snapshot in the Layouts menu will tell you exactly how "current" it is and you could update your saved layout to the "current snapshot" from its right click menu.
Do you have "Show home page at startup" turned off in the Customize menu on your home page? If you turned that on recently, that would explain why Logos doesn't automatically lave your Layout and restore it next time you open up. It needs to be off. You can always open the Home page at any time using Alt+H, and Alt+H again will toggle it back off again and return you to the layout where you were. But if "Show home page at startup" is on, then when you toggle away from the home page, all you get is a blank layout.
I do have show homepage at startup turned off and have never had this problem before. I usually have a few snapshots showing the various times of day that I open Logos. It is just weird that this happened this way. I'm going to try it again tomorrow to see if it happens a second time.
Thanks for all the help [:D]
