50% off N.T. Wright's Resurrection for Facebook users

Logos is offering a 50% discount on N.T. Wright's Resurrection of the Son of God for one day only. See the Logos page on Facebook for more information. It seems like a great deal if you don't already have it.

Will this book be included in the pre-pub collection of NT Wright's books (34 volumes). It is currently not shown as one that is included, but just wanted to make sure because the description of what's included in the 34 volumes says that it includes his writings on Christ's resurrection. http://www.logos.com/product/8576/n-t-wright-collection

Most unlikely as it is part of a collection published a couple of years ago :

Thanks for tip. I bought it. But I'm NOT happy with the way they gave a link direct to checkout, without letting us know the code or giving any information about the book. In fact I copied the code, exited from checkout and checked up on the book before deciding I wanted it and going back to checkout to buy it. I feel that this was somewhat manipulative salesmanship, below the standard I have come to expect, and respect, of Logos.[N] Incidentally, it might have been good salesmanship to mention this facebook possibility on our homepages. I only discovered the offer through this thread, as I seldom go on Facebook - big timewaster! (So are the forums time-consuming, but more profitably - for me and for Loogos sales!) [;)]

I followed the link to the same checkout page you saw. I clicked on the book title in my checkout page to go to the product description page. I believe the resource titles in the shopping basket are always live links to the product pages. So I thought Logos was just saving me time with the direct link to checkout. I can see how you could think otherwise if you didn't know the resource was linked.

Thank you, Matthew. I didn't know you could get the info from the link in shopping basket. In fact, I still think it was high pressure salesmanship, and not necessary, in view of the quality of the resource. Others may also have had the same problem of not knowing their way around Logos that I do, or even worse - I've gathered a certain amount of experience of navigating the Logos website!

Wright has written briefly on resurrection in several of his books, including a few of those in the 34 volume set. Indeed, Surprised by Hope is written around that theme (though is obviously considerably simpler than the volume in Christian Origins). That's probably the volume they had in mind when they wrote the description.

I tried to get the 50% off price, but it still listed it as $40, instead of $20. How come?

Looks like the code has expired a few hours early. I'd get an email into sales asking them to get it to you for $20.

Did you do it from the facebook page, which gives you the code? I do wish they'd put a note on our homepage to tell us to go to Facebook. I go there once a week if that, unless I have good reason and time to waste... [;)]

I also have a Face Book account, but rarely go there. I would have never known about this deal if it had not been for the forums - which I visit daily.

Call customer sales on Monday. If they can't give you the 50% off they might be able to give you a deal anyway.

Out of interest, I'm wondering where you expected a link described as :
Hit the link below to automatically apply the coupon code
was going to take you? Doesn't seem manipulative to me.

What seems manipulative to me is that that was the ONLY link. Had there also been a link to more information about the book, I would not have felt that was manipulative.
