Bug(?) Notes' automatic scripture tagging is tagging text that "should" not be tagged

I know why this text is being tagged, but this text should not be tagged because it is not (should not be) referring to scripture.

I have a couple of note files setup for my denomination's hymnals. The tagger is tagging text that is for the tune's name, and there is no way to un-tag the text (hence the word bug in the subject).

With the implementation of some user requested modifications to the routine, I know of no work-around.

Click in the space immediately after "SONG 1" (so that the caret is positioned right after the "1"), then press Backspace to delete the automatically-added hyperlink.

I do have to say that this is not the most user friendly way to do this. When I am in Word and it creates a hyperlink that I do not want, I can undo it by right clicking on the link and then click on remove hyperlink.

I would like to have a way to turn off automatic tagging of scripture passages. I prefer to do my own tagging so that I can link to the text I wish. In the OT references I sometimes link to the MT, but at other times I link to the LXX or even to an English version. When it is automatically tagged I must first remove the tagging before retagging it. A simple switch in the Program Settings should handle this -- on or off.

You can remove the hyperlink by selecting the link, then clicking the X up in the hyperlink box. Then click back in the note after the link text.

Once you've done this, it goes back to being regular non-linked text, which you can tell because it turns black. You can verify this by selecting it again and checking to see that the Hyperlink box is blank:

Incidentally, backspacing from the end to remove an automatically generated link works in Word, too. It might not be "user-friendly" (as in, completely intuitive). But once you know it, it's quicker than the alternate way of doing it, whether in Word or in Logos.

You can edit hyperlinks this way, too. Easy is in the eye of the beholder. Once you know how to do it, it's pretty easy.

There's a particular link syntax that specifies the version you want to open. Most people don't memorize that (you'd have to know both the resource ID and the addressing scheme within it). You can simply use the "Copy location as URL" command on the panel menu of the resource in question, and that will create the link for you to paste into the Hyperlink box when you've got the link text selected in a Note. For example, the link to jump to Song of Solomon 1 in LXX is logosres:logoslxx;ref=BibleLXX.So1. For BHS it's logosres:bhswts42;ref=BibleBHS.So1. Once you've edited the link to point to the right version, you can verify it by hovering over the link and an excerpt of the version it links to should pop up:

If you put a simple scripture reference into the hyperlink box, it will use your Preferred Bible. That is the default that gets created when you type a reference into a Note and press the space bar. So you'd have to use this more advanced method if you want to be referring to different versions in your notes.
