New Resources Report

I often make bids on pre-published resources and wait for them to be available. When they are finally made available and are downloaded to my system I miss the download and am unaware of it's presence in my library. I would like Logos to make a New Resource Download Manager to be made available. This would give me the ability to know which resources have been downloaded and when they were downloaded. What do you think, can we make this work?

    Hi Charles,

    I am not sure if you have seen this.

    There is a column in the library tab which shows the last time a book was updated. This shows when a resource was last updated. It doesn't differentiate between new and updated resources so it might not be exactly what you are looking for.

    If you do not see it, right click on the headings tab and it can be checked off to appear.

    Click on the Last Updated column to rearrange the order and make sure the scroll slider is moved to the top!

    You can also manage the time of downloads by changing Automatically Download Updates to NO (in Program Settings). The upcoming version 4.2a will show more information and also allow you to schedule when it happens!

    Charles, the next update of the engine, new resources and updates will appear on the homepage in Logos. It is under beta testing even as we speak.

    Many users here also set ratings on all their resources, like a rating of 2 stars. You can still rate things worse (1 star) or better (4 or 5) if you want, but if everything is rated (just click the first resource in your library, scroll to the bottom, shift-click the last resource, and then change the ratings of all of them at once), then when new resources come in they will have rating=0, and you can filter your library by rating:=0.

    It's not as important now that we have the LastUpdated column, but I still use it for its simplicity, especially if updates come over a few days you you are not aware of which ones you saw or not.  They stay at 0 stars until you re-rate them to 2 or 3 stars, whichever is your standard.
