Some minutes ago I wrote a simple reply referríng someone who asked about NETS to an earlier thread. While doing that I made a search for that earlier thread, and got the usual dropdown with suggestions, in this case containing the two lines 'nets' and 'NETS'. However, after choosing one, the dropdown never disappeared. It remained after my searching was complete; it remained after I'd posted my reply; it remained when I switched back and forth to Thunderbird... Finally I got tired of it and used my 'active corner' to click on it to see what happened then. What happened was that Safari crashed.

Also rather annoying was that a search for NETS did not bring up threads about NETS, but threads about .NET. 
Not quite the same thing...
