Proceed button does not work in Checkout - Help please!

I cannot purchase anything through the logos shopping cart. If I add something to the cart and then click the Proceed button, the page blinks and I still get the checkout page. It does not progress to the billing or other steps.
I have emailed Logos support (and not heard back) and tried the various things suggested on the forums (clear cache and cookies, log out/in, use different browser, use different OS, etc.) and I am still not able to get past the checkout screen. Please help!

Based on the half dozen or so forum posts like this I've seen in the past ~4 months, it seems like there are some user environments that see this problem. I'm not sure Logos or anyone else has concretely identified the problem.
When you click "Proceed", you should see a small window appear in the middle of your browser to let you select a single payment or a payment plan. Note that I don't call this a "popup" because it's not a popup in the traditional sense that would normally be blocked by a popup blocker. It's one of the newer-styled web techniques ("web 2.0" if you've heard that phrase
. Some people seem to be having problems either seeing or getting beyond that "popup". Are you seeing it? If I recall correctly, there may have been one individual who found out the problem was related to their ISP (though I might be confusing that person's problem with this class of problems).
I believe the workaround at this point is to call the sales folks at Logos and order that way. Depending on what you're ordering, that could be beneficial because people frequently get better prices when they call the sales department.
Sorry I couldn't help you more,
Donnie

Thanks Donnie.
The current item I had in my cart was the free McCheyne download, so I wasn't getting a DOM popup. I added a non-free item and I do get that popup, but when I click Proceed in the popup it still takes me back to the checkout page.
Any other ideas?

Andy,
Sounds like something I should be talking to you about. I'll email you and see if we can get a few more details to help us track this one down.

I had the same problem until I noticed that one of the items in my cart had this notice below it:
"The publisher has not made this resource available for purchase in your country or region."
It was not obvious at all, the notice did not stand out enough. The proceed button was missing, only showing a "Remove item" button. I think it should show a disabled proceed button with a clear notice above it stating that there is a problem with one of the items in the cart, and it should be removed before proceeding.
This does leave me wondering why someone would block any region of the globe from purchasing a book, and especially one about their religion…

Because publishers buy the rights from the author with geographic constraints so the author can sell other rights to publishers who market in other regions. You don't sell where you don't have the rights to do so.
