Are "proper sized popups" still in scope for Mac?

The popups that appear when hovering over a footnote superscript letter are in a tiny font. Clicking on the footnote letter, however, makes the popup appear in the "full size" font. The Windows verse immediately shows the popup in the "full size" font. Is this still in scope for the Mac? I ask because we're fairly far along now and this seems to be a fairly basic behaviour and the code is already there (I guess) since clicking on the footnote superscript letter shows the full-sized popup.

In both Mac and Windows, the text in the hover popup uses a different font altogether than the font when the footnote is clicked. In Windows it appears a bit smaller, too.

When you click on a footnote, the font in the tooltip is the same as the one used by Program Settings. It also respects the text size selected in the resource or in Program Settings.

I can submit a request for consideration to increase the size of the font used in the hover popup, since its size can't be increased (other than by Program Scaling in Windows).

Perhaps so (I'll check later this evening), but the Windows popups use the same font as the resource, and are (as far I I recall) almost the same size as the resource text. The popups in Mac use an ugly sans-serif, tiny font - no comparison. This is not "parity with Windows"...

Indeed. Here's hoping that Logos will continue to focus on these issues until the Mac version is complete -- right now it's not complete. Many keyboard and focus issues, search results, passage guide, word study, etc results cannot be resized, popups are so small as to be painful to see, notes are unstable enough that people would rather run Parallels and use the Windows version's notes feature, etc.

I just checked this again in Windows, the font in the hover popup does increase with an increase in the resource text size. It does not use the same font, though. The hover popup font uses the same sans serif font no matter what font I choose in Program Settings. Then when I click the footnote, the font does match the text font.

In Mac it does not increase, but it appears from Tom's post in the other thread that this will be changed in the future.

As with so many other things...if you want a properly sized pop-up you will have to use L3. Decisions were made (on dubious and illogical grounds) to reduce and delimit the size of pop-ups in L4. They are 3X3 in. max, which takes what is perhaps the most powerful tool in the whole Logos program and drags it from the Computer Age back into the Stone Age.

There are many things that Logos could do to enhance notes, like make SCROLLABLE POP-UP NOTES in both L3 and L4, but don't hold your breath.
