SUGGESTION: Disambiguitization

It would be nice if Logos provided a prebuilt filter that provided the additional information for names and places to be unique as in the example above which handles the multiple Herods. It seems doable based either on a Bible dictionary or the LCV or the Biblical People / Places / Things. The biggest hurdle would be ensuring that the broader canons are supported equally.

This would be a nice addition. I imagine that there's probably an undocumented syntax that would start make this possible since there are Biblical people tags on words in English Bibles already.

You can create a visual filter using the Morph filter for all people and places in the Bible. This only works with the Bibles using Louw and Nida and Anderson-Forbs Morph. Here are my 2 filter for all the people and all the places in the Bible.

For the People visual filter try this:

In the Anderson-Forbs morph filter type @N and choose the Noun Family for People in the Old Testament and the select Human. For the New Testemant Louw and Nida semantic domain 93.1-93.388 contain people in the N.T. <LN ~93.1-93.388>

What I think MJ. is suggesting is that Logos is able to identify different people who share the same name (such as Herod).

While your filter would show all people it won't allow this "disambiguitization" as far as I can see.

Am I missing something?

Sorry I misundestood.

As far as distinguishing the different Herod's; I though that Louw and Nida would distinguish the different Herod's but they don't. Although Herod Agrippa is listed under domain # 93.10.

It would be nice if Louw and Nida was futher divided into subcategories that the English Bible was tagged with like: 93.144(1) or 93.144(2).
