purchase a laptop from a re-seller

Have any of you purchased a laptop from a re-seller? I am
looking at an ASUS with an ssd and a 500gb 7200 rpm from a re-seller to put the
OPS and L4 on the ssd and nothing else. But I am concerned about purchasing
from a re-seller and thought some of you might help me by answering some
questions. 1) Have any of you had any experience with a re-sell company? 2) Is
a re-seller reputable? 3) How will I know the laptop is not a refurbished? 4)
is there one that you would recommend?

An SSD and 500 GB drive would suggest it is recent but you should Google the model number to check its original specs ie.were they original? What is the asking price vs retail price? What warranty is provided? etc.

You can search for your reseller here and read what others have experienced. I build my own desktops (it's more fun - and I love new hardware most of the time [:)]), but I've only purchased a notebook once - directly from Lenovo. Great experience for me.
