Please allow recurrent prayer requests without a due date

I have mentioned this need before in another thread but would like to make the request again. Would it be possible to allow the set up of prayer requests in prayer lists so that they are recurrent but without a fixed scheduled recurrence?
I use my prayer lists daily and have lots of people to pray for recurrently. My prayer times are dynamic not static. Therefore somedays I pray for less people, somedays for more. Sometimes I pray more for one individual and it takes more of my prayer time for that day. Because of that, it is hard for me to plan to pray for the people on a regular schedule (every x days or weeks). I pray through the list and check off those I have prayed for until I am through. Then I uncheck everything and start over again.
The problem with the current functionality is that if I don't schedule, a checked off prayer requests disappears. The only way i have found to keep them is to schedule them. The recurrence cannot be too soon or else I get pestered with due prayer requests which really are not due. The order of my prayer list is then altered by due dates. If the recurrence is later (for instance, 1x year) when I check off the item, it appears due for the next year. The prayer request first entered in 2011 shows 2015 after I have prayed 3 times for it. So when I need to enter a new person to pray for, I need to match the 2015 due date because if I don't, this prayer request appears as due before the others and in need of catching up. So old prayer request is due in 2015. New prayer request entered for 2011 and 1x/year would need to be prayed for 3 times before it stops appearing separately from other items and not alphabetically. The alternative is to enter the due date in 2015. That's a lot of clicking to navigate to far off dates.
I am giving this long explanation to show that I have tried to work within the limits of the current functionality but it is a real pain. So please would you add the functionality I request if at all possible? I imagine there must be other people who need that greater flexibility in their prayer regimen.
