Downloaded files ?

Hopefully, this won't be tedious to the forum members. When I first downloaded Logos 4, went to the directory where found and backed it up on a Thumb Drive. I'm under the impression, if I hurl that thing into another computer, I can actually install Logos 4 on that particular computer. Am I correct?

Also, I've downloaded a couple books.And no doubt, I'll be downloading more. How do I back these up, should I lose Logos 4 to whatever situation or want to install it on a new computer? Help will be much appreciated. Thanks!

Also with Logos sync to their servers, have option to download program, install, sign-in, and have program download resources and sync'd information from Logos servers.

I've read the link quickly but thinking I can get a more direct answer here. I've backed up Logos4 to a Thumbdrive. Apparently then, there is a specific file there to click to reinstall, correct? What again is that particular file called.

Also, as to a book downloaded - let's say I lose it, and want to get it again. Where do I go - back to Logos to re-download it, or must I back up the whole of the Logos directory again?

Navigate to C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Logos4\Install\Installers. There are two msi files there. You could try running the Prerequisites msi first and then the L4 msi. This should install it without using the download link on the Quick installation method page. I haven't tried doing this personally so I'm not sure it will work, but it should.

If you loose a book you have the license to, Logos 4 should automatically download it if you connect it to the internet and have automatically download updates set to yes. If you want to just move one book file you can copy it to a thumb drive to transfer it to the other computer. Be certain to use the scan command to get it into Logos and not just place the file in the resources folder. Method 2 uses the scan command so you can consult it for more details on its use.

Method 2 is self-contained and you click on the link at step 2 to initiate the reinstall.

If you want to be "file" oriented then look at Method 1 -> more laborious unless you are on an offline computer.
