Citing books from the Logos Library in academic articles.

Hi,

I was wondering if the page numbers of a Logos resource corresponds with the page numbers of the printed resource?

Take the following Hebrew word in the Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament.

עֵבֶר (ʿēber). Against, beyond, by, over, passage, quarter, side other/this side, straight

According to Logos, this article is on p. 642. Does this agree with the printed version of 1999?

Could I cite this resource as

Harris, R. L., Harris, R. L., Archer, G. L., & Waltke, B. K. 1999. Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament. Moody Press: Chicago?

I was just wondering if it could be possible to simply cite the book without adding electronic version to every reference I use from Logos?

The page numbers are drawn from the actual page number of the print resources. I've never encountered one that was wrong. You should be able to get by with citing the print edition. While most books do have page numbers there are some that do not so you'd need to do the electronic resource citation style.

Yes, the page number in Logos ought to be the same as the page number in the printed resource. Personally, I never add 'electronic version' when citing documents that have print equivalents.

As has already been stated, the page numbers do correspond to the print edition (Although in some older works one might question WHICH print edition).  You did, however, pick a rather questionable example since when citing a dictionary or encyclopedia one usually cites it as "s.v. ENTRY WORD" and not by page number.
