How DOES one view a graphic inside a Logos 4 resource?

I just purchased a resource of an ex-professor of mine. I opened the
resource and excitedly began to devour it. Until page four. Surely
there has to be a better way to view this graphic than to [right click]
->context menu - "save as" and then zoom in on it with a piece of photo viewer software. Am I missing an obvious feature here?

Unfortunately that's the only way. You're not missing an obvious
feature, Logos is! They need to implement an image viewer/zoom tool.
Users have been complaining about this lacuna for some time. Let's get it on UserVoice and drum up some votes for it! I'm out of votes. You seem to be new around these parts (Welcome!), so perhaps you haven't discovered UserVoice yet or used up your votes. Care to take a look and add this suggestion?

Graphics included in Logos 4 resources should be zoomable if properly embedded. Have you tried zooming by hovering over the graphic with your mouse and using the scroll wheel? If this doesn't work, try to open the graphic in a new window by double clicking on it. If this doesn't work either, I guess the graphic's not properly embedded - you can then report this to Logos.

Have you found any "properly embedded" images where this works? I am pretty sure it only works in Biblical People/Places/Things, but I might be mistaken. I've just never seen it work on any images in resources.

I thought I did - in "1000 Bible Images". I suggested it belonged to my SESB, since it's published by the German Bible Society, I wasn't aware it's actually part of the Biblical People/Places/Things of Logos.

Oh yes, good that you pointed out the resource you saw it in, as that helps me refine my previous answer. It's not strictly just in Biblical People/Places/Things that zooming works. If you open any resource of type "Media Collection" it will work in there when you hover over the image. I guess I had not been aware of that. Here are all the Media Collection resources I have:

There are certainly lots of images in other resources, so it would still be quite helpful if Logos would implement a viewer/zoomer for them. Note that not all of them would be zoomable anyway, since some times they do not embed a larger resolution than what you see on the screen. If you can "save as" and zoom in a Picture viewer, then they ought to be zoomable right in Logos. There should be no need to export to an external app for that.

Some of the resources have implemented independent viewers (which I like considerably better than People/Places since they're much faster on my itty-bitty computer). Oxford Commentary, allows clicking on the image and a viewer pops up. My guess is it was a backward compatibility requirement.

Wow, I didn't know that! Fascinating, since the Oxford Bible Commentary was built for Logos 2.0 and Logos no longer has the rights to the file, so they have not converted it to 4.0 or even Libronix (3.0) format.

So if they have the ability to pop up a viewer in 4.0, it shouldn't be that much of a stretch to be able to apply it to images in other resources. The viewer in OBC does not support zooming though, so that would need to be added.

Thanks Rosie, I'm am new to the forums, at least to the posting therein. I'll check out the UserVoice angle. There's got to be a better way to access images than the current way.

I noticed that Biblical Places has images from the ESV Study Bible. You can zoom on them in Biblical Places but not in the Study Bible. I purchased this a while back but I wondered if even those who have not bought this resource have those images or if the resources you own get incorporated into Biblical Places. Does anyone know how this works?
