breaking up collections

Is there an easy way to know which resources, embedded in larger collections, can be purchased separately? I would like to purchase "the critical edition of Q" from the Hermeneia series, but really can't afford the whole shooting match

If you look at an individual resource, the website will tell you if it's part of a larger collection, but not the other way around, unfortunately. In the case of the resource you mention, the smallest collection in which it's available is $599: http://www.logos.com/product/7756/hermeneia-new-testament

Most major sets do not have their resources available for individual sale (though some older sets do). If they're available, you'd have to find them by searching the site.
