Ipad Multitasking, is it possible to read notes and record audio at the same time?
I am sorry, I know nothing about Apple products but have been reading quite a bit about the ipad and think it MIGHT suit my purpose, but I do not have all my questions figured out yet. Is it possible, with the new multitasking features, to download my notes into the ipad in a pdf file, then read those notes while recording into the ipad at the same time. I would then transfer the recording to be uploaded to a web page as MP3 audio...
I have read that the recent update rendered USB mic's unusable, but would a powered usb hub fix this problem?
any help or advice would be appreciated.

Yes this is possible. You will need a recording app as there is not one installed by default from Apple. I have one called Voice Memos that is free with $.99 required to get the sharing feature that lets you email it out. I tested as I didn't know when I read your question. I fired up the app, hit record. You don't need a USB mic to record. There is one built into the iPhone. However, some USB mics do work if you have the iPad camer connection kit, $29 from Apple. I have hooked up a Microsoft USB headset to my iPad using the USB to 30-pin dock connector.
To do the recording just hit record in the recording app, double tap the home button and open your PDF reader. I use PDF Expert which allows for marking up the PDF files. Then when done, double tap the Home button and go back to the recording app and hit stop. Works like a charm.
