Calling on the Forum Community: help shine the light on your alma mater?
As you may know, I do public relations for Logos. That is, where it relates to Logos in any way, I'm all about helping promote other organizations however possible. I'm pretty new to the area of colleges and seminaries and, as a result, don't know too many people in the field.
Can you help?
I'm trying to get in touch with the various schools whose faculty and alumni are contributing to the Evangelical Exegetical Commentary. These contributing authors are involved in something that will pay major dividends for their colleagues and the theologians of tomorrow.
The EEC is a first and a trend-setter in the world of publishing. Never before has a reference work of this size been published digitally before print.
Of course the markets have been moving this way for quite some time. For instance, Oxford University Press CEO Nigel Portwood said last year, “The print dictionary market is just disappearing, it is falling away by tens of per cent a year." As a result, he suggested the next edition of the Oxford English Dictionary may be 100% digital.
The EEC is paving the way for new reference works to be created in the event that the print market continues to erode.
Do you know anyone from the following schools who works with their website, magazines, alumni news, social media, etc? I want to help them maximize their exposure and benefit as much as possible from the EEC.
