Can I have a Highlight Color as a short cut?

I figured out how to bring up the highlight box but I think its too cumbersome to click the highlighter short cut, select the color and then select the passage. I used 1 highlighter 90% of the time. Can I put the yellow highlighter on the short cut bar?

Also, will this sync between my Mac and PC? Please say yes.

Scratch the 2nd part of my question. I just pulled up my PC version and the highlights were there. Nice job Logos!!!!! [H]

No, you cannot put highlighting styles on the shortcut bar (would be nice -- something to request via UserVoice perhaps).

But you can assign a shortcut key to a highlighting style. See http://wiki.logos.com/Highlighting#Assigning. (That was written for the Windows version, so you'll have to make the conversions to Mac. I think right-click is Cmd+click on the Mac.)

Or if you're pretty much using yellow highlighter most of the time, just press Cmd+K and it will apply the last applied highlight to your selection.

That shows you how long it's been since I've used a Mac! Actually I have used my sister's quite recently, but those sorts of details are hard to shake from one's memory. I remember Apple insisting for years that all you needed was one button on a mouse, and any more than that was too complicated for users and poor design. They made fun of PC users with their multiple button mice. There certainly are some that are pretty ridiculous:

My Apple Mighty Mouse has four (4) buttons and a scroll ball. I guess someone changed Steve's mind over the years.

Magic mouse (your mouse) like mighty mouse has many functions including 2nd button they are all just hidden as were most of mighty mouse's. I loved Mighty Mouse. I haven't used the magic mouse but to my understanding the lack of app switching capabilities built in is something I would miss.

Perhaps you missed something. In speaking of the Magic Mouse, Apple's publicity blurb says, " …In addition to its smooth, seamless top-shell design that acts as one button or two…"
