Now that RC1/2 is out will L4 install without L3 being installed?

    Yes Kevin.  We've been able to do that as early as I think β3 or so.  You'll just have to type <scan /path> into the command bar (without the brackets) to let L4 know where all the resources are.  Unless you're keen to download multiple GB of data.

    Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

    Yes, but use a current L4 resources
    folder as it will save a lot of downloading!

        * copy/move your L4 Resource folder out of

          ...\Logos4\Data\{random}\ResourceManager\Resources.

        * If necessary, uninstall L4 and L4 Prerequisites via
    Control Panel & delete the remains of Logos4 folder

        * download Logos4 from

          http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/LDLS4Installer/Logos4Setup.exe

        * choose Custom installation if you want to
    install in a folder of your choice

        * Sign-on

        * ASAP (when program finally opens) use
    Program Settings to stop Downloads++

        * Kill Logos4Indexer.exe in Task Manager

        * Type Scan c:\L4Resources (where you
    put them)
    into Command bar & click

        * Close & Restart L4

        * Indexing should start.

        * Go to bed!

    ++ if you get a download you should Cancel it

    ...
    the standard installation path is:-

    XP
    - C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Logos4

    Vista/Win7
    - C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Logos4

    EDIT:

    I recommend an L4 resource folder as it contains both L3 and L4 resources. But a folder with only L3 resources will be OK.
