How would search for book reviews in Theo. Journals for books on The Reformation?
Hmm...I think searching in the "Review Title" field should work, though I don't have enough Journals in my library to really test it. I searched for "the" in "Review Title" and found 207 reviews of books that have the word "the" in their title. But a search for Reformation OR Luther OR Calvin turned up zilch. The book title would have to have one of several keywords in it for you to be able to find it this way. You might be able to think of more keywords besides those ones I tried. Good luck!
EDIT: I took this bit for granted but maybe shouldn't have: First you'd have to create a collection for all your Journals and also restrict the search to just that collection.
Already did the collection thing. I think this is what I'll do. Do an Amazon search for books on the subject and then do a L4 search for that author(s). So far that seems to work OK.
The review title field is not used by the Galaxie theological journals. It's used by Critical Review of Books in Religion, however.
The search you want to do is tricky. What you really want is to search the text under the 'Book Review' heading for particular text - but that type of search isn't supported by Logos. The best I can come up with is this:
(history WITHIN 100 WORDS Reformation) AND (reformation AFTER 5000 WORDS heading:"Book Reviews")
which is a very rough approximation of what you want. However, the search result will always open at the top of the book reviews. You'll have to use the up/down arrows (and set the drop-down menu from 'article' to 'search result' to see the proper results. I'd sort by Count, and have match all word forms off.
