Thank you! Logos for the free NIV 2011

Thanks, I was not going to buy one, but this will be nice because with 2 windows open we can see how much we like or dislike what the NIV did over older translations. From what I read, I am not going to care for it, but it is still nice to have.

The question is, how to get it. According to the instructions in the email, I'm supposed to be able to download it from the upgrade page. But it won't let me select any upgrade package other than Portfolio, and I really don't want to pay three thousand dollars for a free NIV11.
Eating a steady diet of government cheese, and living in a van down by the river.

You want the free crossgrade, described in this post: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/28219.aspx

If you have already taken the free cross-grade that Rosie mentioned, the new NIV should have automatically downloaded to your library. I was puzzled by the same actions yesterday until I found the resource in my library.

You'll know you have it if you see a "The New International Version" and "The New International Version (1984)" in your library listing. The short names are "NIV" and "NIV84" respectively. The icon for the former has a yellow background and the latter a blue one. If you're wondering whether you keep to old NIV, you do. The install adds the new one and calls it "The New International Version" and also renames your old one to "The New International Version (1984)."
