Does anyone know how useful Biblical commentary are???
Just upped my bid on the "Biblical Commentary on the New Testament (6 vols.)" set and it went over the top!
Awesome, and kinda cool to watch too! Now lets see if we can get it lower then $50!

While I definitely want Jastrow's dictionary, I'm not that eager for these so I placed a bid for $12.00. If it goes for $12.00, I'll take it.

Cool! What fun being the one who tipped it over the top.
We now have over a week until this offer closes, so we can probably get it down to $45 or even $40 by next Friday. I'll start a new thread to try and make this happen.
Morris Jastrow is now over the top.
Now let's drive it down to $12.00!
Done, for 12 USD... All together Now...
*smile*
Peace and Joy in the Lord!
Just noticed that Logos has now given us until NEXT Friday to get it down. Thank you Logos!

They didn't change that. I was talking about next Friday in my previous post, not today. If something goes over 100% after noon on a Wednesday, we have until the following Friday to get the price down. I'm pretty sure it's all automated.

I'm curious too. Does anyone have any first hand knowledge about this resource?
Now if 'only' Dictionary of the Targumim, the Talmud Babli and Yerushalmi, and the Midrashic Literature (2 vols.) could 'wake up' (also Jastrow). Just imagine how useful this one would be with the upcoming Talmud in March.
My thoughts exactly! Can't you write a separate post pushing it? I'm not qualified.
Though I would, of course, be even happier if they moved it to CP, so that we could get the price down. I bet it would go into production faster that way. It's the kind of resource lots of people probably are -- or might be convinced to become -- slightly interested in, but not interested enough to pay the present price.
Jastrow's dictionary is too well regarded to be in CP. There may be some hesitancy to pay the $50.00 they're asking for it, but they will in time. CP is basically for things they wouldn't get published unless they can get a feel for what a significant number of users will be willing to pay to get it moving.

That shouldn't really make a difference to Logos, should it? 100% of production costs is 100% of production costs, whether it gets there through $50 prepub orders or $20 CP bids. And $20 will get them more happy customers, and with more money left in their pockets to buy other stuff for. And once it leaves CP they can, of course, raise it to $50 again.
Down to $12 now. Maybe we can drive it down even lower.
How low can it go?
Can it go lower than $9, just curious [;)]
It looks as though I'm going to be stuck with it. At that price, who can resist?

Yes. We had one that went for $1 although that's not likely in this case.

It can't go lower than the lowest tick-mark on the price scale, since there's no way to bid a lower price than that. They decide ahead of time what the bidding range will be and that's what we're stuck with. The one that went for $1 was The Antithesis between Symbolism and Revelation, which is a single lecture, 24 pages total. $1 was the lowest end of the bidding scale on that one from the get-go.
