layout question

i'm a new logos user and have been mainly using the home page look-up and default layout for reading. i saw a video where the instructor selects a book from the library at the home page, and it opens alone in the reading screen and i wanted to try that. so i open a book, and it loads in the bible section of the default layout screen, and i have to clik thru closing every tab of resources that were open from prior reading. How do you get the book to open by itself to read without closing all the tabs and sections??? gotta be something easy i'm missing. thanks

Steve - you can close all open resources by typing "Close all" into the command box. Then open just the book of interest.

Another option would be to select "Show in Reading View" from the icon in the upper left corner of the open tab.

Another idea is to open the book of interest in a "floating window" which
will come up on top of your other layout (and thus obscure it, but you
can get back to it whenever you want using Alt+Tab). To do that, right-click on the book in the Library, and choose "Open in a floating window." Then you've got a full window (which you can maximize or resize or move around as you like) to read the book in. You can go into Reading View with this as well, using the method Floyd mentioned above, or simply press F11.

How do you get the book to open by itself to read without closing all the tabs and sections??? gotta be something easy i'm missing.

1. Click on the Library icon.

2. Locate the book that you want to read. Then right click on it.

3. In the pop-up menu click on Open in a floating window. Logos4 will open your book in a stand-alone window for reading.
