Hi ,logos programme on a mac keeps just switching off while im using it, any help you could gives to sort it out , eventually got the programme installed, but it keeps switching off , any help out there would be grateful , its a tricky software

It would be practically impossible for anyone to assist you without logs. See the first link in my signature for instructions. The second link describes a free utility that automates much of the process.

HI JACK THANK YOU ,tried command shift g placed in the words “~/Library/Application Support/Logos4” in finder and also tried without the "~/ but it just says folder cant be found , did manged to get it installed after many many hours a few weeks ago , and has been working but now this ,

I can't read logs, but I will insure that someone who can read them sees your post.
NOTE: run LogosLogScribe immediately after L4 switches off and before any restart attempt.

thank you please find the compressed attachment of loggin file , i typed in ex 15.22 and logos istarted switching off by itself , and it does it alos when its just began without doing anything

here is another compressed loggin just after logos 4 mac quits on its own accord , tried a full index , still quits by itself just typed in a verse in verse bar and its finished and shuts down

Noticed crash in Bible Explorer panel - not know if will repeat after Restarting Mac, suggested in thread => http://community.logos.com/forums/t/30075.aspx

was using the home page to study from and have noticed it has,nt switched by itself as it did when i was using one of my layout =s wondering if its related to some of the layouts have been used on windows 7 as well

just to apologize for upsetting you when i sent another compressed loggin an a new thread , to be honest il just going to try ringing rather than use the forum as i seem to get much response to the mistake from others when duplicating the tread ,but nothing much with sorting the problem so in future i will just ring logos , once again i sorry for for causing any upset , bye

Likewise apologies - personally did not read all 4 posts in sequential order before replying - one post for this issue with replies containing updates would have helped. Personal quirk - look at post titles, then click to read non-sequentially. Realized I read one set of logs with indexing incomplete and replied - then read different post with later set of logs that showed indexing completed and crash occurring in Bible Explorer. Another quirk, personally like some upper case letters - easier to recognize words for reading.
After posting many, many times learned posts can be deleted and edited (about 10 hours). Also have made mistakes posting in forums and editing Wiki pages - Thankful for community friendliness how to collaborate and grow together [8-|]
By the way, several forum posters also have some history of posting same topic in different threads - myself included [:$]
Calling Logos should be worthwhile - wait times are shorter when Logos opens at 6 am Pacific time.

Have used many named layouts on Mac and PC - sync between both platforms. If can open layout with Bible Explorer panel, could close Bible Explorer panel, then open Bible Explorer, followed by typing verse (see if crash repeats).
By the way, crash is preferred term for switched off - comes from physical world where a crash often causes something (e.g. motorcycle) to stop working (e.g. ran into a tree).

When talking with Logos Support, please refer to this thread. Logos4.log file in 2626.Logging.zip has first line:
"Error running gmcs: Cannot find the specified file" that is unusual, bottom of file has crash in Bible Explorer panel - not know if errors related.
