Text to speech not enabled - Logos 4 Mac

Hi all,

It used to work but somewhere along the line text to speech has stopped. They appear in the menu list but are not enabled - it makes no difference whether I have text highlighted or not and it works with other programs, just no Logos 4 Mac (4.0b SR-4 4.10.4.9457) As expected my shortcut keys to start speech do not work either?

Ideas?
