24 hour Logos sale

This has been mentioned on another thread, but I thought I'd make it even more prominent: Logos have a 24 hour sale on. Some highlights:
- Word Biblical Commentary: $499.95
- Calvin’s Commentaries: $200
- 8vols of Socio-Rhetorical Commentary: $110
- Beale/Carson Commentary on the NT use of the OT:
$25
More deals and links here: http://twitter.com/logos - why not follow Logos in case they offer more deals in the future?
Important note: The
way the website is set up, it only allows you to benefit from one deal at a
time. When you add a new deal to your shopping basket, the first deal reverts
back to the original price. So, if you want to purchase more than one item, you
have to make sure you make several separate purchases, not one combined purchase.

Thanks a lot for posting about these deals, Mark. I would have missed out as I don't twitter. It looks like there's some good bargains to be had.

Another important note: The Logos website still does not grey-out all resources you may already own. (Especially titles that are included in larger sets.I own Calvin 500 which includes Calvin's Commentaries as a sub-set but they are not greyed-out.) Be sure to double-check any titles to be sure they are not already in a larger set you own and you have forgotten them. Some users have actually purchased a title twice! [:O]

Open 3 links you want in 3 separate tabs. Copy the coupon codes from tab 1 and 2 and paste them into the box in tab 3 (which has all 3 titles, although 2 with full prices). Use a comma between. Then click on the button to the right to update. You will now have 3 titles, 3 coupon codes, and 3 sale prices in the same shopping cart. [:)] (I believe I have read somewhere that 3 coupon codes is the maximum for one purchase, and that you'll have to start again if you want more than 3 sale titles, but you'll have to try that one out for yourselves.)

For anyone who doesn't have the Beale/Carson, GET IT NOW! A great resource, at a surperb price.
Witherington's S/R Commentary is okay too.
The Pauline Studies Library (35 vol) is very tempting at half price.

Thanks for that tip. Very helpful as I was struggling with what to do about purchasing more than one of the specials.

Does anyone know if Logos is open tomorrow? I always use the same sales rep. and would like to make these purchases through him.
Thanks,
Ron

In case anyone is as illiterate as me (i.e. can't read what's written), Mark only mentioned some highlights of an ENORMOUS sale that goes on till Monday midnight [:D]

Mark,
Thank you for posting this. I do not follow Twitter and am thankful for this sale today. I finally was able to purchase The Treasury of David in my price range. Thank you Logos!

Just made that mistake today. I now "own" two copies of Jesus in Context. I emailed sales and they are going to take care it for me. You would think that after making this mistake three times I would remember to check my library before buying, but I guess it just takes some people longer to learn.

Couldn't pass up Beall/Carson. Thanks!

Hee Hee. I've only done that twice so far.
Are you telling us this was your FOURTH time to buy duplicate??
Oh Ron, What are we going to do with you? [8-)]

I've got an idea. How about Logos sell us everything for 99% off and have resources just quietly evaporate from our libraries over a few months? We can then buy them over & over again and experience the JoY repeatedly! [:P]
Seriously though, I did suggest alternatives to a standard EULA. I was told a non-transferable lifetime license would be hard to sell. (Consider how most people won't buy prearranged funeral plans ) I also suggested a subscription plan or 5 year "rental" style EULA.
There is just something about "ownership." I purchase tools (and Bible software) that has greater life expectancy than myself.

Too much information. I have been monitoring community pricing and pre-pub pricing and now I have to be tweeting and next I suppose I have to be monitoring You Tube. Are we gonna get a Grammy for the movie they create about it all. I think I will stop trying. Use the Logos software I have, whicwhich will be enhanced by getting rid of all these distractions..

well I can certainly understand that! Not to fear though, if you're not already watching Twitter or Facebook, generally the forums will mention something about the a sale elsewhere.
