Since L4's release, I've seen several posts expressing frustration with L4's different windows stealing focus. It's my turn.
When I start L4, if I'm typing in another window (an email, for example) & start L4 so it'll be ready when I finish, I do NOT expect L4 to interject itself in front of the window I'm typing in, so that part of a sentence ends up in the Search window, for example.
Grrrrr....
That's just bad behavior.
That said, I still love working in L4. The main reasons I still have L3 installed are:
- to access to PBBs
- to isolate markups for different Bible study classes from the resources I use for sermon development. I just don't want those markups outside the Bible studies. Until Logos implements some sort of "per layout" highlighting (or some way of turning the highlights off except in those Bible study layouts), I'll probably end up keeping L3 installed.
- to use the Sermon Central section of its Passage Guide. Pg Up / Pg Down / End are operative; even more, each "hit" to the internet pulls up twice as many references to Sermon Central in the PG. I've given up trying to make the L4 PG do that same work because it's too mouse intensive & inefficient--hard on my wrists.
That's a pretty short list!
Many blessings to all the dedicated folks at Logos.
