Bible Review and Biblical Archaeology Review archives

I sent a note like the following to the publisher (bib-arch.org, bas@bib-arch.org) These are great resources, particularly for sending to students to read before class.
I own both the BAR and BR archives on CD for Logos, but BAR only goes through 2001 instead of 2005 (as the current CD has), and BR only goes through 2003 instead of 2005 (as the current CD has). Is there a simple way to update these?
And will BAR continue to be updated and made available via Logos, perhaps by electronic subscription? I would love to see that.
Anyone at Logos know if there's an easy way to update these? I assume I simply bought an earlier CD. BR isn't published anymore, though, so there won't be any post-2005 BR issues.

I have BAR through 29:06 (Dec 2003) I believe I got it as an upgrade to the original BAR release, at a discount I'm sure but I don't remember how much.
I see what you're talking about here: http://store.bib-arch.org/CDs/products/4/1/0
I also would be interested in getting these up to date.

I have BAR through 31:06 (Nov/Dec 2005) and BR through 21:05 (Winter 2005). I don't know where I got updates to them though, may have been a third party...

I own BAR through 2005, but haven't gotten around to purchasing Bible Review. I want to, but Logos keeps having other sales and prepubs that get my attention. I would like to see BAR update its magazine, but I don't know how much of a priority this is for them because you can access all their magazines on their website for an annual fee.

That may reflect a policy/direction change away from Logos. [:(] I hope not.Ronald Quick said:but I don't know how much of a priority this is for them because you can access all their magazines on their website for an annual fee.

Very unfortunate. $50 to update both [:S] From their rep.
>>>We do have updates for Biblical Archaeology Review: The Archives from
1975 - to 2005 available. The price for the updated CD is 20.95 plus s/h
fee of $5.00.
We are unable to do an updated CD with LOGOS at this time as the cost is
prohibitive but we do have our publications available online in the BAS
Library membership program.
Our online Library has all our magazine publications, past and present, and also includes additional features:
1-year membership $29.95 ($20 off the regular price of $50 for a limited time)

Jesus, The Rise of Ancient Israel and Feminist Approaches to the Bible

* Searching by topic, any word or phrase, issue, date range, image
* Biblical citations that link to the Revised Standard Version
* Over 6,600 articles and more than 8,200 images
Bible Review is no longer published so this would be the last update available.
For Bible Review: The Complete Archive CD 1985 - 2005 is available at $20.95 plus $5.00 s/h fee.
In the near future we are planning to do a digital edition of the
magazine but it is still being worked on and I don't know when they will
start making it available."The whole modern world has divided itself into Conservatives and Progressives. The business of Progressives is to go on making mistakes. The business of Conservatives is to prevent mistakes from being corrected."- G.K. Chesterton

For Bible Review: The Complete Archive CD 1985 - 2005 is available at $20.95 plus $5.00 s/h fee.I went on the website and saw that the Bible Review Archive was $99 plus shipping. Is the Archive CD still available for $20.95 on other sites?
Also any update on Biblical Archaeology Review and possibly updating their Archive CD?
Thanks

I have BAR 31:06 (Nov/Dec 2005). According to my logos account this CD was purchased from logos June 2011.

I would love to see an update to BAR, I get the magazine. I think the issue is they sell their own digital content on their web site though, so they aren't interested in Logos any more. Which seems a shame, I think it would be a good, and different, market for BAR to continue the Logos version.

+1 On a BAR update, but I seriously doubt that it will happen any time soon. BAR just deployed an iPAD app (which I am delighted about), but it appears that BAR is focusing the rest of it's digital efforts on its own products such as the website. It's a pity as I really like BAR in my Bible software.

I agree, Palmer! I'm living abroad and BAR seems to have dropped the price of the digital issue compared to the printed one: http://www.biblicalarchaeology.org/offers/?access=magazine&subscribe=1
(There was an offer for US residents a few months ago, for the printed issue, but I didn't qualify as I don't live there nor have any address there to subscribe to.)
But I have neither internet at home nor an iPad, so I think I'll go for the printed 1-year subscription.I was recommended it here: http://www.christianforums.com/t7663798-6/
