Missing page numbers on some resources

Logos is brilliant for researching essays for Bible college, but I've noticed that page numbers are missing from some resources (which makes it difficult for me to quote them as sources).

I realise that not all resources have page number indexes on them, but at any point will these be updated in the future?

The one I'm looking at in particular is the New Dictionary of Biblical Theology.

There was a comment on this at http://community.logos.com/forums/p/18894/142977.aspx#142977 which shows that Logos are working on it. I haven't seen an update on when page numbers will be added to this specific resource.

In a dictionary, would it not be acceptable to note the entry heading?

Check with your institution's policy for citing from electronic works. It's not always necessary to provide page numbers. Most accepted standards (Turabian, Chicago, MLA) provide for this, and you need to know how your institution handles citations from electronic works. In most cases page numbers are a convenience (especially for the prof.), but not a requirement.

BTW, even when Logos does provide the citation information after you have chosen your citation style (in Tools>Program Settings> under the "General" heading), it doesn't always provide the information in the correct way. It's a good idea to have your institution's guidelines in hand and double-check (and reformat if necessary) before printing/submitting your work.

If you school does not make specific allowances for page-numberless electronic citation you may have to go to your school's library to manually find the numbers (I did this some in College for my Logos resources). Thankfully, Logos is very good now about including page numbers in new works, it tends to be the old stuff that lacks page numbers.

Finally, be careful about citing Encyclopedia articles in research, some professors will frown on this because such articles tend to lack depth.
