Dragging a Resource icon from the toolbar area (the area to the right of the Command text entry box) to the "+ Plus these resources:" section of an existing "Collection" causes a crash.
Hi Paul,
Dragging a resource shortcut from the shortcut bar to the Collections panel should result in opening the resource on top of Collections, not adding the resource to Collections. However, it shouldn't crash the app. I can reproduce it and will submit report and log to development.
Is the only way to add a resource to a Collection by searching for it in Library and then dragging it across? i am hoping for an easier drag and drop method from an already open resource.
You should be able to drag an open resource tab to the 'Plus these resources' section of the Collection panel, but that is also causing the Mac app to crash. Development is looking into this.
The easiest and recommended way to add resources to a collection is to use the filter rules. That way, if you purchase another resource down the road that fits the same rule, it will automatically be added to the collection. Here is a link to the online video tutorial on creating Collections: http://www.logos.com/video/2305/dynamic-rule-based-collection. The video was created with the Windows version, but the functionality is the same. There's also a page on the public wiki, created by other users: http://wiki.logos.com/Collections.
I ind the most robust method of filtering additions to a collection is to filter according to mytags, then when you get a new book just tag it up as appropriate and it will automatically be added to the appropriate collections.
Thanks, Mike - a good suggestion which I have implemented. However, while this is not a bug, I still find finding my newly purchased books a problem - e.g. if you purchase a set like "The Essential IVP Reference Collection Version 3" as I did yesterday, it comes with 18 titles. The only way I can find to find them is to have my order open in a web page and search through the Library until I find each title in turn. I would love a command that would find me all my purchased books.

I sort my Library by "Last Updated" in descending order. If "Last Updated" is not on your header bar, simply right-click there and select the fields you want to appear.
Interesting - I've got
Title / Author / My Tags / Rating
but no "updated" - how did you switch that on?
Just seen you already gave the answer - very much appreciated.
Glad to be of service. Does this take care of your problem?
It does! Thank you.
