Off-topic funny text comparison.

I will not divulge the web source of this quote but it is classic mistake:

"Luke 1:13 See the Geneva Bible for an obvious “error” due to the
non-standardization of the English language at the time the Geneva Bible
was translated, where “wise” is translated for “wife”.

Note: The Geneva used the long s which looks very much like an f ... both spelling and word are just fine in the Geneva Bible.

Wife has been the subject of another real typo in the so-called "Wife-hater Bible" (an edition of the KJV published in 1810): "'Wife' replaces 'life' in this edition, making Luke
14:26 redundantly read 'If any man come to me, and hate not his father,
and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and

Found the site – a bit further on they complain that the RV, RSV and ASV drop some words – and “forget” to mention that the same words are ‘dropped’ in the NASB, NIV and others. [and it is not because they do not know of the NIV for it is the NIV that they “pick on” in the very next criticism] [Trust nothing you find on the INTERNET until well tested]
