tHow do I copy a block of text into Word.
In Libronix I could enter the address of hte entire passage I wanted to paste into a document, i.e. Luke 1:15-56 or simply Luke 1, would give me the entire passage. How do I do this in Logos 4.
Just for the record, I believe Logos has done their customers a tremendous disservice to make such drastic changes to commonly used features in newer versions. I find that I have to spend more time studying the software than the Bible. This should not be.

You can still do that in the Copy Bible Verses tool (it's on the Tools menu).

change is always hard. Logos weighed the benefits and decided to go
with a totally revamped user interface. Some of us struggled with it for
the first few weeks and didn't like it. But after we got through the
learning curve we are quite glad we took the time.You'll find
there is a wonderful community of users ready 24/7 to help you with your
questions here, and you're fairly likely to get answers in under an
hour. There are also all kinds of great tutorials and wiki pages about Logos 4 created by user volunteers. See this recent blog post by Logos on some of the ways you can benefit from all of this support.Be patient, and you'll be in my prayers as you get to know Logos 4 better. It's really worth it, I think.

1. Open Word (or any other app like Mail, TextEdit, Safari - the Services menu is available in any Mac app)
2. Type Luke 1:15-56
3. Select (highlight) Luke 1:15-56
4. Select Menu:
Word -> Services -> Logos Bible Software --> Replace With Passage
Note: the other Service menu item (Copy Bible Verses) will copy the current Bible verse from the Copy Bible Verses panel in Logos 4

I just checked when I added this to the product. It was first available in Logos 4.2a Beta 1. So it is not in the current stable release.
The good news is, we just released 4.2a RC1 and hopefully will release 4.2a to the stable channel very soon.
You can still use the Copy Bible Verses panel from within Logos 4 to copy and paste into Word

Logos is listed in my Service Menu for Word 2008, but the copy options are grayed out. This feature works in every application on my Mac capable of editing text, except Word 2008.
Debbie, which version of Word are you using? Which version of Mac OS? Could you give us a screenshot of your Services Menu?

When I first added this functionality I had Word 2008 and could not get it to work. Researching into it, I think that Word 2008 just didn't work well with the Services menu for anything (not just Logos). I've since upgraded to Word 2011 and it works with that.
Additional Services Menu information:
To be listed in the services menu you must register as a provider and provide data to whoever is requesting it. Mostly this is just strings passed back and forth via a clipboard.
The Service menu items enable/disable depending on what type of service they are providing. Not many apps simply provide data to the calling TextField. Our CBV provides data, so it is enabled if the user is in a Textfield that can accept data. Our Expand Reference requires a reference, so is only enabled if you highlight some text (also inside a text field so it can receive text back)
To use the data from the Services menu, you must be able to handle the data provided. I suspect Word 2008 does not use a simple TextField for its main editor and never implemented the code to handle data from a service provider.This just works with some of the basic Cocoa provided UI widgets such as a TextField (Try using the Services menu when editing a note inside Logos 4.2a - I just expanded a verse and copied a different verse from my CBV panel)

Well, that is one reason to upgrade. Are there any others? Since MS adamantly refuses to add right-to-left language capability, I was intending to pass, even though Word is my primary Word Processor—mainly because I am too lazy to learn another one.

Huh? In XP its in the Control Panel --> Regional and Language Support Or did I miss something?

This is the Mac forum. I was going to reply something similar as well, that Word has had right-to-left language capability for years. But then I realized I don't know what I'm talking about, because maybe it doesn't work on the Mac.

MS Word for Mac has never supported Hebrew text, and according to a MS Mac Business Unit Forum MVP who claims to have been in on strategy sessions for MS Office 2011 for Mac, they will never support right-to-left text on the Mac.

No, but it gives me a reason to avoid upgrading MS Office, and provides motivation for learning Mellel. I have detested MS Word for years, but have been too lazy to learn Mellel, except when I really need to work with Hebrew text.

Dis'ing mac is worse than [enter doctrinal disucssion of choice]On a Mac with Intel processor, have option to run PC natively (Boot Camp) or virtually - Wiki page => http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_4_Mac Due to licensing, PC does not have a legal option to run Mac OS X.
By the way, looking at 4th quarter 2010 sales, if Apple's iPad included, then Apple was # 3 manufacturer globally. With many PC users switching to Mac, not sure about amount of smugness.
