3 deficits of L4 syntax search in comparison to L3

1. The first appears to be a continuous problem. See the post here.

2. In L3, if I wanted to search for various levels of a hierarchy, e.g. segements within phrases within CICs, each element in the results would have a different colour. This helps one distinguish between the word you are looking for, for example, from the kind of phrase within which it is supposed to appear. In L4 you just get one block of colour, even if you indicated that both segment and phrase are to be highlighted.

2. In L3, when I hovered my mouse over one of the nodes in the syntax tree, I was also told what kind of consituent it was (e.g. phrase, segment, CIC etc.). This made it easier to construct my own searches by mirroring the tree. In L4 I have to figure it out myself (e.g. I had to figure out whether was "but-rather" a supra-clausal or a CIC). This can unnecessarily waste time.

You'll find AFPMA improved in 4.2a - it shows CIC with a node like tm int: gram. The other databases are also OK in 4.2a.

I agree that results presentation needs to be improved.
