I just purchased and thanks to your help installed  the scholars edition of Logos 4 and I do not see the NIV 1984 (blue color) in my resources but it shows that I have the NIV (yellow color).  How do I get the yellow one ?

You don't get it - Zondervan no longer allows it to be included in the bundle. My condolences.[:(]

You can still buy it separately http://www.logos.com/product/8786/new-international-version

WOW that is really sad for me as believe it or not, the NIV was one of the main reasons I purchased Logos and had I known that it was not included, I never would have gone this far as my whole intent was to compare other versions to the NIV and now that has changed so much in 2011 I do not know what to do as I sure do not want to pay any more money.  Frankly if it is available for individual purchase why is Zondervan allowing that as quite obviously I am missing something here ?

Actually I purchased my NIV in Feb 79   so it was not the 1984 edition. I need to find that edition first of all and then be able to compare it to the other NIV editions including the 1984 if I just have the 2011.  I do not understand why I would prepare a sermon with a version that most of my listeners would not own ?

Very many people are disappointed with Zondervan's decision to replace the 'old' NIV. This is not a decision that affects only Logos, but their print Bibles too. It is their intention to stop printing the 1984 edition. I'm just glad it's still possible to buy the 1984 version in Logos, and hope that it remains the case in the future.

Having said that, the differences between 1979 and 1984 are very minor. The 1979 edition has never been available electronically to my knowledge.

Sorry for your dissappointment. That is frustrating. But the more you get familiar with the program, I'd be williing to bet the less you'll have buyer's remorse.
