In L4 I did a search in the Psalms (KJV Interlinear) on 'bless*' and get 55 hits. However there are many more occurrences of the word in Psalms! For example Psal 1:1 is not listed and Psa 103 only lists one occurrence, where there are infact seven!

Has anybody else had a similar experience? Or am I doing something wrong in setting up this simple search?

I'm not sure how you're getting 55 hits. But when I do a Bible search of All Bible Text in Psalms in the King James Version with "Match all word forms" (in the menu under the magnifying glass), unchecked I get 44 results; with that checked I get 99 results in 90 verses.

Match all word forms checked catches "blessed, blessing" whereas unchecked it will only catch the exact word "bless."

Hi Martin

Psalm 1:1 has "blessed" (not "bless") and six of the seven in Psalm 103 are "Bless" as opposed to "bless"

So in the first instance it is a different form of the word, in the second instance it relates to case of the word.

You can change how these are handled using the "Match case" and "Match all word forms" options in the search window as per below:
