Saving a different layout in Passage Guide

How can I save a layout in passage guide without it taking me back to the passage I had open when I saved it?  I saved a layout - which I would like to use every time, but it doesn't open to that layout in passage guide.  I saved it and named it, but it opens to the passage I was studying when I did it.

It makes sense and unfortunately I have not found or seen any way to fix this. You can unpdate the layout, but doing that will not solve this problem, it will just open to the passage you had when you updated.
