Libronix Freezing when selecting text

Hi there Smile

I wonder if anyone could kindly throw a light on this problem for me? I have a Libronix programme disc (System 1.1a) that came with The Complete Works Of Oswald Chambers which is just fantastic, but I am having a problem in that when I select any text and take too long, it freezes the whole programme and I have to close it and lose whatever I am busy with at that point. It gets very frustrating. Crying If I move really quickly and deselect immediately I have copied, it is ok.

I have updated it to see if it would help to no avail.

Oh, and of course I mean turn on logging, then go ahead and freeze the program up and crash it - then upload the logs. :-)

Steph, what version of Libronix do you have loaded? If its just the version that came with the disc there's an update. See: http://www.logos.com/support/downloads/ldls for instructions on how to update. 3.0g is the latest version. Also, if you've installed the Internet Explorer 9 Release Candidate then you need to uninstall it and go back to IE 8.

I have the Libronix 1.1a and have downloaded the upgrade as you suggested but have not uninstalled/reinstalled it yet. I am running on the latest Firefox.

I have not ever thought of updating as it has been working fine and to be totally honest, I did not know that I could - only the other day Ihad a look when I got to the point of utter frustration [:@] lol

Should I go ahead now?

Yes, I recommend updating Libronix to 3.0g to see if that fixes your problem.

Your version of Firefox doesn't matter; Libronix uses Internet Explorer's display engine to show a lot of different things. So, a problem with IE can affect Libronix too, but the first step is to update Libronix.

Ok, I have gone ahead and done the upgrade and it seems to have fixed it. I am delighted and will test it over the next few days and see how it goes. The new look is easy on the eye, I must say. [:)]

I just want to say that of all the sites I have ever written to over the years regarding any difficulties, I have never had the service I have had here. The speed alone at which you both responded was amazing.
