Hebrew work

Ok, I am in the middle of trying to learn Biblical Hebrew on my own.  I am trying to get a program up and running for vocabulary memorization.   I have started cue card and had a couple of questions.  how can I quicky change between EN and HE keyboards?  Does it matter what font you tell programs to use.....it seems not.  I have a .csv file created from open office spread sheet but its not transferring the columns to the cue cards as it should.  I was contemplating just biting the bullet and retyping everything instead of fighting yet again.  I have tried a few other programs and methods for getting these cards made.  even my labels are not working within open office. 

What have you'll done......my vocabulary is focused on the first hebrew primer by eks publishing.??

CTRL+SHIFT+0 (zero) is the Windows default for changing keyboards <edit>See below</edit>

Any Unicode font that supports Hebrew should be fine.

I use Alt + Shift on the left side of my keyboard. I tried ctrl+shift+0 and it didn't do anything.

Apologies. CTRL+SHIFT is the shortcut for changing keyboard layout. LEFT ALT+SHIFT is the shortcut for changing keyboard language. The latter is the one you want.

You can change the shortcuts by:

• Going to the start menu, and typing change keyboard in the search
• Click Change Keyboards or other Input Methods
• Click Change Keyboards
• Go to Advanced Key Settings

If you download the Logos keyboards and install them as described in the PDF, you can assign a key combination to each language.  I use <AltLftShft-1> for English, <AltLftshft-2> for Greek, <AltLftShft-3> for Hebrew and <AltLftshft-4> for Syriac.  Having your setup arranged in a somewhat similar fashion will enable you to quickly change from one language to another (so long as you hit the correct keys--sometimes I get "4" rather than "3" and end up with Syriac when it wasn't intended).
