A question about interlinear function of added bible

Hi! there.

I am a Catholic and interested in the interlinear function. I have to buy another bible such as New American Bible on top of the bibles in base packages.

If I buy Bible Study Library base package and New American Bible or New Jerusalem Bible, Can I use the interlinear function on the bibles I buy?

Currently only the English Bibles in the Base packages have Reverse interlinear capabilities. Other Bibles that you add will not have the RI tagging. I'm not saying it won't be added in the future, but it would have to be explicitly stated on the product pages that they have been made into Reverse Interlinear Bibles.

What Kevin is saying is that only certain Bible versions have Reverse Interlinears available. Those reverse-interlinears are included in most base packages (except Home). There haven't been any hints from Logos that they're considering adding more Reverse Interlinears in the future. For your convenience, the complete list of reverse interlinears is included below. The NIV and NLT are soon going to be updated to cover the whole Bible. That means the answer to your question is 'No'. Buying the New American or New Jerusalem Bibles will not give you reverse-interlinear functionality for those Bibles.

If your chosen English bible doesn't have an interlinear function, consider yourself fortunate.  You have avoided the pernicious effects of interlinears.  Sometimes when reading in the original language it is helpful to look at an English language translation, but you should put it underneath your original language text so as to avoid being influenced by the English but able to (consciously) refer to it when desired.  Interlinears are a hindrance to a functioning acquisition of another language.
