Zondervan / Pradis

Hi Logos / Dan P,
Was there any decision on what kind of discounts may be offered to users who own Pradis titles and want to get the corresponding titles in Logos?
Thanks,
Peter

Not yet. The "powers that be" at Zondervan are actually reading over all the feedback on this forum to inform their decision. See my new post there...

Question: I had Pradis 6 but my laptop crashed and some of my book files were at the Pradis server. I didn't back them all up. Since all the rights have been given to logos can I get those files back if I show proof of a purchase? I have contacted Zondervan but they keep saying contact Logos.

In my own experience, Pradis didn't work that way. I had to load mine from a CD-Rom.
Are you saying that you downloaded yours from "Pradis" server? - Rather than loading them from a CR-ROm?

There were some books that I ordered over the phone a few years ago from Zondervan in their Pradis format. They e-mailed the files to me. I had to back up those files in order to have them for the future (I believe at one time I had to have them resend them to me). I never received a physical disc from them in those instances. This is what I think James is speaking about.
The Pradis files have nothing to do with Logos, and they cannot be used in Logos. They can, however, still be used in Pradis.
James might be thinking that he should be able to access them now in Logos format now that they are available through Logos and Pradis is not being supported any longer. He is probably unaware of the Zondervan Pradis discounts that Zondervan offered to those who wanted to repurchase their resources in Logos. But it seems he might be thinking that they would be free crossovers, which would be incorrect.0 -

James,
I think I know what you are talking about, I ordered some books over the phone a few years ago from Zondervan in their Pradis format. They e-mailed the files to me. I had to back up those files in order to have them for the future (I believe at one time I had to have them resend them to me). I never received a physical disc from them in those instances. As of June 1st Zondervan stopped supporting Pradis (as you apparently found out). So unfortunately, if you didn't back up those files, they are lost forever, since Zondervan will no longer address anything with Pradis again.
The Pradis files have nothing to do with Logos, and they cannot be used in Logos. Logos would not have Pradis files to give you either.
So unfortunately, you really needed to address this before Zondervan stopped their Technical support on June 1st.http://www.zondervan.com/Cultures/en-US/Product/Software/index.htm?QueryStringSite=Zondervan
Don't you have an old back-up of your hard drive that would have preserved these files?

James, you might also want to change your user id to something other than your e-mail address so spam bots don't harvest it.
