Index incorrect for ICC Commentary on Revelation

I looked up Revelation 3:9 in the passage guide and clicked on "A Critical and Exegetical Commentary on the Revelation of St. John, Volumes 1 & 2. It sends me to Vol1, p.40 which is incorrect. The commentary actually begins on Vol1, p.88. This applies for other verses as well.
Please fix the index for this commentary.

Development is currently looking into the best algorithm to use where there is a valid match in more than one location for a particular verse or passage.
In this case, if you were to type 'Rev 3:9' in the current reference box of the ICC Rev 1&2, it would show 3 possible matches. The first one is the one the link in the Passage Guide takes you to, which is a valid reference to Rev 3:9 in the 'Chapter 2-3 Introduction'. Most likely the link takes you to that location because it is the first one.

it seems to the that there should only be one match for each verse in a commentary, and that match should be to the beginning of the section that has commentary specific to that verse. Why does it have three?

Hi Melissa,
In this case, the last reference is the correct one. Perhaps if there is more than one reference, the first ones are pre-amble or introductory -- have you seen a case where the last one is not correct?

I agree with Todd to the degree that I want my PG link to send me to the start of the commentary of that verse. I find it amazing how often it might not. (Word Biblical Commentary is notable for this). However, I don't think one link only is the correct answer. I would like to see where else relevant discussion pops up (pericope overview, for example).

As they are all valid milestones for this verse, none is really incorrect. The problem is having it jump to the expected one. In this case, the last one is expected, however, in some commentaries, the last one is found in the notes at the end of the chapter or book, so that wouldn't be the expected location. As I said, development is looking into this.

It sounds like the commentary link will need to be separately tagged because from the sounds of it, there is no definite algorithm that is going to work for all resources.
At least now I know how to navigate multiple references, so thanks.
