How to deal with a lost username or password?

What is Logos plan for when people forget their username and password?

Since the program will generally log itself on without needing the username and password (after the first time), there will be people who forget this information.

I was just thinking this could cause quite a problem. For email accounts, etc they have ways to restore it with a security question, etc. Logos doesn't have this. Giving this information gives access not only to the program, but to the user's whole account, including the ability to order more resources with a saved credit card, possibly even have them sent to a different address, etc.

How will Logos verify identity before giving someone the username and password?

The username is your email, and it's the same account you use at www.logos.com. You can go there and request a forgotten password. If you can't remember your email address (unlikely, I think), you can call customer service and have them look you up by name, phone, address, etc. If you've ever ordered from us directly (highly likely, since we no longer have retail distributors) we'll have that on file.

Actually it's not as unlikely as you suggest Bob.

I have changed primary email addresses at least a 1/2 dozen times. Fortunately for me when I signed up for Logos I didn't use my current primary, I used the redirection address I received as a MBI alumni. I have friends and family who have id's consisting of somename@oldisp.com but oldisp was three ISP's ago. They no longer have that name or address available to them. Now they have to remember it if they ever do business with Logos, but my dad and sister for instance never have since I bought them the NASB collection years ago. So now, they're not in your system - and your personnel can't look them up if they ever do decide to call in.

I know it should be in "help>about" of their current L3 installation but if they forget to look there... oh boy.

Our move to using Logos.com accounts, as opposed to Libronix Customer ID's, helps fix this. You CAN change your Logos.com email account anytime you want, at www.logos.com/MyAccount. That way you can stay current, instead of being locked into an old email address.
