help with version river

I just upgraded to the Scholar's package and I'm trying to use the Version River.  But, I seem to be having an issue.  It doesn't seem to do anything for me other than just sit there as a pretty graphic.  According to the help file it should do more:

4.      Hover the mouse cursor over a vertical bar to display a text comparison for that verse.

However, when I hover the mouse over the river, nothing happens.  This is true whether I'm looking at it from the 'Passage Guide' from a textual search, or whether I go into the 'Passage Analysis' tool from the toolbar.  Am I doing something wrong?

    We are aware of the Immediate Compare popup not opening upon hover in the Mac version and development will be fixing it for a future release. If you click on the verse number below the graph, the Text Comparison panel will open to the passage, comparing the resources selected in the Passage Analysis (Version River) tool.
