i had recently run across a poem in a reading i was doing but can not recall where or what book it came from. But i can remember the name of the poem. How do i search my library for the poem?

You need to do a Basic search in your library for the title or a line (or phrase) in the poem.
The example at http://wiki.logos.com/Detailed_Search_Help#Phrases should show you how to do this.
