Bug: Duplicate Books

I only have one copy of The Treasury of Scripture Knowledge in my library, yet a search turned up two copies, only slightly different. This seems puzzling to me. I don't remember ever hiding this book. Could someone explain why this is? Is this the way the library handles duplicate titles?

The one that shows up in the library gives the authors under citation and is dated 2009. The other one doesn't list the authors and is dated 1994. They both reference Logos Research Systems in the Citation. The one that doesn't show up in the library is only indexed by Bible, but not by volume/page. Under Support info the one that shows up in the library shows at the end TSK2008.logos4, the other one ends with tsk.lbxlls. Does this answer your question?

Very interesting. I can reproduce this. I've never bought anything from E4, and I have both of these resources too, but only one shows up in the Library. Odd.

Only the latter shows up in the Library (and no, it isn't hidden). The latter seems to be a newer version of the former and perhaps the Logos engine has some code in it to ignore the former in all the UI (except in Search, apparently) because otherwise it would make cross-references in Passage Guides pretty confusing.

This seems like a potential bug or confusing behavior that development should take a look at.

It needs a remedy as the issue was raised in Nov 2009!

I have both in my resource folder but only tsk2008 shows in Library. It should also be given the abbreviated name tsk as ntsk is applied to the "New Treasury..."

I'm not satisfied with the Logos suggestion as there should be no need for user interaction & nothing for a user to discover eg.

delete tsk.lbxlls
do not download from server nor copy from user's L3 resources
